A French organic heritage, a Mauritian group behind it, and one stubborn idea: that an island with no organic regulator deserves a retailer that behaves as if there were one.
The heritage
Born from the ACCORD BIO network
Naturespan did not start from zero. We are members of ACCORD BIO, a French cooperative network that brings together hundreds of independent organic stores and has spent more than twenty years building one of the most solid organic retail systems in Europe.
Membership means we inherit what would take a lifetime to build alone: a catalogue of more than 17,000 certified organic references selected and verified by the network, collective negotiating strength with the finest organic houses in Europe, two decades of merchandising craft, and permanent quality monitoring with full traceability across every reference. When you pick up a product in a Naturespan store, an entire cooperative already vouched for it before we did.
We are not alone. We are part of a network with twenty years of organic retail behind it, brought to an island that has never had one.

The backing
Part of something larger
Naturespan is the organic and bio pillar of the Healthspan ecosystem, a family of health-focused platforms in Mauritius, backed by the Chemtech Group. That backing is why we can do things a lone shop cannot: import by consolidated container, hold certificates for thousands of references, open two stores and a cafe in a single year, and publish this much detail without flinching.
The ecosystem grows with us. The Naturespan online shop is live and accepting orders. Shop our current online selection: live prices and availability are shown in the online shop. Naturespan is also a place, not only a website: stores in Grand Baie and Tamarin from October 1, 2026, an organic cafe and restaurant in Grand Baie, a food truck that already crosses the island, and two more stores in 2027.

Nourish Mauritius with genuinely certified organic food, and be radically transparent about how it gets here, what it costs, and what it can and cannot promise.
Our vision
Set the organic standard for Mauritius. Organic claims in Mauritius are policed unevenly; that is why we verify our suppliers’ certificates ourselves. We hold ourselves to the strictest standard that exists and show our work, until verifiable certification becomes what this island simply expects.
Transparency
We publish our trade-offs, show our certificates, and answer the awkward questions in writing.
Quality
Real certifications on real products, selected through a network that has audited organic supply for two decades.
Education
An informed customer is our best customer. This site exists to teach, not just to sell.
